Parkinson’s UK is the My House to Your House 2013 charity that we’ll be raising money for.
Will’s dad has Parkinson’s, making this something close to all of our hearts. And Parkinson’s UK works hard to make sure that no one has to face Parkinson’s alone.
- Parkinson’s UK brings people with Parkinson’s, their carers and families together via its network of local groups, its website and its free, confidential helpline 0808 800 0303.
- Specialist nurses, supporters and staff provide information and training on every aspect of Parkinson’s.
- As the UK’s Parkinson’s support and research charity, it is leading the work to find a cure, and it’s closer than ever.
- And it campaigns to change attitudes and demand better services.
Parkinson’s UK’s work is totally dependent on donations, and we’re hoping to raise over £53,000 to help fund its work. We know, it sounds a lot, but at just under £10 for every kilometre covered by every person on the team, we reckon we can do it. And the really cool part is that every £1000 raised funds a cutting edge research project for a week. Our £53,000 will fund research to find a cure and improve treatment for Will’s dad and anyone living with Parkinson’s for a whole year. And we think that’s pretty awesome.
Please support our challenge and help us reach our £53,000 target. You can donate on our JustGiving page or if you are in the UK text MHYH53 to 700 70 (texts are free and you are able to choose how much to give).
Thanks so much.
